Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly interested in a return to Manchester United as Juventus exit rumours continue. The superstar’s contract runs out at the end of next season but The Old Lady could cut him loose early.
This season Juventus failed to win the Serie A title, with currently sitting fifth with 66 points, which is a Europa League spot.
Should the season end that way, Ronaldo would seek an exit given his age and the remaining time available to him to play at the highest level, and a possible destination is the Old Trafford.
According to Spanish outlet Marca, United have yet to close the door to a Ronaldo reunion. Which is good news for the Juventus star as Calciomercato.it have reported that a return to his former club intrigues him.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner spent six seasons at Old Trafford, scoring 118 goals in 292 appearances. The forward also helped United to a remarkable amount of silverware – winning three Premier League titles, one FA Cup, two League Cups and the Champions league between 2003-09.
