A-League sides are ready to make an official offer for Cristiano Ronaldo, as league CEO Danny Townsend confirmed.
The superstar is set to part ways with Manchester United for the second time after his explosive interview with Piers Morgan.
Portugal captain has opened up on the issues between him and the club board, as well as the tense relationship with head coach Erik ten Hag and how 'betrayed' he feels at Old Trafford.
As Evening Standard reports, Townsend admitted the five-time Ballon D'or winner will receive 'plenty of love and respect' if he joins any of the Australian first league teams.
"Ronaldo said he wasn't getting any love and respect at Manchester United but we'll certainly give him plenty of love and respect in Australia," Townsend said in comments published by News Corp.
"We might not be able to compete financially with other offers but we can compete in other ways." added the Chief Executive Officer.
Ronaldo is currently in Qatar with Portugal national team preparing to start their journey in World Cup 2022.
