Coronavirus to create chaos at Premier League - clubs cannot make pre-season plans

Coronavirus have caused a chaos for the Premier League, as clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham face major disruptions to pre-season plans in China ahead of the 2020/21 season. Numerous clubs have often appeared in foreign tournaments in China and other Eastern countries- including the International Champions Cup (ICC). The ICC usually includes one pre-season fixture in China, while last year there were also two ties in Singapore. The 2020 ICC schedule is not announced yet, however it’s still unclear whether Asia will be able to host any matches, due to fears of the coronavirus. Manchester United and Tottenham had played in Singapore and Shanghai previous summer in the tournament, and Manchester City Wolves, Newcastle United and West Ham United were all part of the Premier League Asia Trophy- hosted in China. However, the Premier League Asia Trophy is a biennial competition, which means there won’t be a tournament this summer. Daily Mail reported, that one Premier League club has banned all business-related travel to Asia, as they don't want to risk infection from the coronavirus. The virus is already having a major impact on international sporting events and last week, the Chinese Football Association cancelled all domestic matches until further notice.
