Liverpool → L_D_L_W_L
Liverpool are on the worst period of their season, and no one knows how much will the disaster continue. The Reds have lost six of their last 10 games in all competitions. Two more draws and only two wins can be counted in them, which are all the ten games in 2017. This horrible series are accompanied with losing the EFL semifinals to Southampton, leaving the FA cup after Wolverhampton loss (1-2) and sliding down to the fifth position in EPL table. Their last clash was against managerless Leicester City (1-3), which has been yet another loss. However, Liverpool still did not lose to the strongest opponents of 2017. Manchester United and Chelsea draws (1-1) accompanied with Tottenham win (2-0), leave a chance of strong fight by Klopp’s team.
Arsenal → W_W_L_L_W
Arsenal are not in a better form, though. The team lost three out of last five games. The clashes against strong opponents have been the worst, as Arsenal lost to Chelsea (3-1) in Premier League and Bayern Munich (5-1) in Champions League. In general, Arsenal game has been very hard to predict recently. On the other hand, Chelsea and Bayern Munich are obviously stronger than Arsenal, while Liverpool are not. So, the London side can still keep high hope.
Important to note that Liverpool are only one point away from Arsenal and the win can put the back to Champions League qualification zone.
The historic records of these teams’ head-to-head clashes show equality, as both of them count for 68 wins, 51 games were draws. The equality holds for the last five clashes, too. Three of the five were draws, Arsenal won one, while Liverpool defeated the opponent in the first round dramatic clash we all remember.
Important to not, that last two Arsenal clashes at Anfield were draws, which seems to be the most probable outcome for the Saturday match, too.
Liverpool → Ings, Ejaria, Grujic (both injured), Lovren, Henderson (doubtful)
Arsenal → Cazorla, Sanogo, Elneny (all injured), Ozil, Koscielny, Ramsey (doubtful)
