Christian Eriksen has revealed that one of the reasons why he left Tottenham is to win trophies.
The 27-year-old midfielder believes he has even bigger chance to win trophies at Inter Milan, as he has last win silverware during his time at Ajax.
Spurs didn't manage to win a competitive trophy since 2008 when they won the League Cup final at Wembley- beating Chelsea.
The Dane was closer to winning silverware at Tottenham on more than one time, following Champions League final loss, the League Cup in 2015 and two more occasions of winning the Premier League title.
Speaking to
Sky in Italy , Eriksen said:
“There’s a big chance of winning a trophy here or a bigger chance than where I was of course.
“The Champions League final was a very bad day, we lost which you don’t want to remember.
“I’m here to win and start something new. The last time I won something was at Ajax so it’s many years ago. I still remember the feeling so I want to achieve it here as well.”
Eriksen completed a £16.9million move to Inter Milan in the final few days of the January transfer window.
