Chris Sutton delivers verdict on Rangers display and praises Kemar Roofe

Chris Sutton has spoken out on Rangers after their 2-2 draw with Benfica in the Europa League on Thursday and also praised the growth of Kemar Roofe since his move to the Gers. Roofe joined Steven Gerrard's side from Anderlecht during this summer transfer window. Since making his move, he has made 12 appearances in which he has scored 7 goals and provided one assist. The Gers played a 2-2 draw with Benfica in the Europa League group stage as Scott Arfield and Roofe scored for Gerrard's side, while James Tavernier scored an own goal after which Pizzi equalized for the Portuguese side. “There in a real good place Rangers, scoring goals and not conceding,” Sutton told BT Sport’s Europa League highlights show. “They have a real identity. Roofe is really growing into a Rangers jersey, his goal was brilliant – and what about that for a finish. That is a top, top finish. “At that stage you are thinking, they’re looking good. They shouldn’t have let it slip, that will be the frustration for Gerrard. They still have work to do – I think they’re going to do it, but they’ve put themselves under unneccessary pressure.” source - tbrfootball.com
