Cheltenham Festival value tips

VBET’s red-hot traders warmed up for the biggest week of jumps racing when 28/1 shot Beauport did the business at Sandown on Saturday. Get the value with our experts’ three best horse racing tips for day one of the Cheltenham Festival:

2.30 Cheltenham – MILAN NATIVE

Odds: 8/1 Looked the real deal winning the Kim Muir here 12 months ago. Things have not gone quite as smoothly since then, but he’s handicapped accordingly and runs off just a 6lb higher mark than at the Festival last year. Trip and ground look ideal, while the betting tends to suggest he’s come back to hand at just the right time. He’s also undergone wind surgery since his last run in December and that might give him that cutting edge in a race of fine margins.

4.15 Cheltenham – GLORIOUS ZOFF

Odds: 13/2 Must step up on this season’s hurdling form, but memories of his ruthless Sligo victory last October should not be forgotten. Looks reasonably treated running off 122 and is precisely the type of horse with which connections do so well. The finishing kick he showed on the Flat at Dundalk last time could also serve him well along Cheltenham’s punishing straight.

4.50 Cheltenham – NEXT DESTINATION

Odds: 100/30 Strong stayer and not short of boot, either. Jumps for fun and competes on a 4lb higher mark off which he won a Grade Two at Warwick in January so well. The recent rainfall at the track should also play to his strengths as he loves to get his toe in. Looks one of his trainer’s best chances of a Festival winner this week, which is reflected in him being heavily backed within the last 24 hours.   *Odds correct at time of publication. 18+                                                          Please gamble responsibly                                               BeGAmbleAware.org Find your roar with best odds guaranteed on every race, every day.
