Chelsea forward Kai Havertz has refused to underestimate the dangers Arsenal will pose ahead of tomorrow evening's London derby at Stamford Bridge.
Both sides will go head-to-head for the first time at Stamford Bridge since the Covid-19 pandemic began, with their last meeting on Chelsea's patch coming in January last year.
Ahead of the match Havertz, as quoted by the
Express, said:
"Arsenal are also fighting for a European place.
"They are a very strong side, very dangerous.
“It’s a London derby, so they will be very motivated. But if we play our best football we can win.”
On the Blues' own fortunes, Havertz continued:
"When we play with confidence, there are not many teams that can beat us.
“The mix is very good, between experience and young players who are very hungry.
“Technically, tactically, almost everything fits right now. So it’s very important that we keep the momentum, because there are more big games coming. We keep on working because there is always room to improve.”
