Kai Havertz is closing in on a move to Chelsea however, there are contrasting reports in Germany as to whether the star has completed a medical as of yet. Chelsea have an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen to sign the 21-year-old this summer. The two clubs agreed on a deal at the start of last week which will see Havertz move to Chelsea after the international break for an initial £72million. There has been speculation this was due to the detail surrounding the add-ons included in the deal. While another theory suggests it's because Bayer Leverkusen want to sign his replacement first before confirming Havertz's departure. Bild reported that Havertz's successfully passed a Chelsea medical in London last week. He has now joined up with Germany ahead of Nations League matches with Spain and Switzerland. But according to German outlet SPORT1, Havertz is yet to undergo a medical with the Blues and they claim it is still due to take place. Journalist Florian Plettenberg tweeted: "According to our confirmed information: No medical check of #Havertz at #Chelsea so far!!! @SPORT1 @berger_pj #CFC" Havertz will be free to jet to London following the Nations League clash with Switzerland next Sunday (September 6).
