Chelsea submitted an ‘astronomical offer’ of €80m for the centre-back

It has been reported that Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri looks to bring Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly to Stamford Bridge. Koulibaly has a contract with the Partenopei until 2021 but has been repeatedly linked with a move. According to FranceFootball Chelsea submitted an ‘astronomical offer’ of €80m for the France-born Senegal international. The report claims, that Barcelona scouts have been following Koulibaly for two or three months to decide whether they should make a move. Chelsea’s offer is so high it’s unlikely Barca would look to match it, giving Sarri’s side the price advantage going forward.
