Chelsea star joins national team despite injury problem

N'Golo Kante has joined France national team despite an ankle injury problem last weekend. France will play three World Cup qualifying games against Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine and Finland in the next two weeks. Chelsea have surprisingly let Kante join his French teammates on international duty. The central midfielder had to subbed off during the Liverpool clash.

“I think the opponent fell on his ankle and he twisted it again,” Tuchel explained during his post-match press conference.

The Blues' star had also missed the previous match against Arsenal due to the same injury.

“He had immediately the same pain he had before the Arsenal game.   “He was lacking force to accelerate and we had to take him off.”
