Chelsea players have grown frustrated with Alvaro Morata’s attitude as the Spaniard nears a January move away from Stamford Bridge.
Morata has endured a difficult spell in England since his move from Real Madrid 18 years ago.
His scored two goals against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup – his first strikes since a brace against Crystal Place at the start of November.
However, he refused to celebrate after netting against Forest and it was later claimed that he was making a point about the lack of respect he’s been shown by the club.
Morata is now widely expected to leave Chelsea this month. He has been linked with AC Milan and Sevilla, but now Atletico Madrid have joined the race to sign the Spaniard and end his Chelsea nightmare.
Morata’s agent is in in London to secure his departure from Chelsea, with a loan until the end of the season and an obligation to buy in the summer the most likely outcome.
