Chelsea have increased their salary proposal for Uruguayan defensive midfielder Manuel Ugarte, one of incoming manager Pochettino's top targets ahead of the summer transfer window.
In an effort to strengthen their squad after a disappointing season, the Blues have already been linked with some players, including Moises Caicedo, Manuel Ugarte and Giorgi Mamardashvili with a move to Stamford Bridge.
The Portuguese outlet Record reports that Chelsea have raised their salary proposal for Manuel Ugarte. Chelsea have now put forward a €3.5 million (£3 million) annual wage, including performance-based incentives and bonuses.
This enhanced offer comes shortly after Todd Boehly had initially presented Ugarte with a significantly lower wage package. Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain has also reportedly made a more appealing offer to the 22-year-old.
