Metz rejected a £16.5 million bid from Chelsea for Newcastle United and Leicester City target Habib Diallo, as report
Afriquesports.
The 24-year-old striker has been in superb form this season, as he has netted 12 times and provided three assists in 24 Ligue 1 starts. He has helped Metz to three wins in their past six games to move them three points clear of the relegation zone, posting two goals and two assists.
According to
the Express both Newcastle and Leicester were keen on the player ahead of the January transfer window.
And, another Premier League club- Chelsea, bid for the player, however, Metz rebuffed the Blues’ advances as they will only allow him to leave in the summer.
Frank Lampard's side may have looked at Diallo as they wish to add more power to their squad, as Tammy Abraham has struggled with fitness lately.
