Chelsea could receive a boost as Neuer and Bayern Munich in disagreement over contract extension length

Bayern Munchen are expecting to extend team captain Manuel Neuer's contract. The goalkeeper's agent was recently seen at Saberner Strasse speaking to Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic. Neuer's current deal runs through 2021 and Bayern Munich want to extend it for two years. Neuer, however, wants a five-year extension, according to Bild. However, Bayern have already signed young German goalkeeper Alexander Nubel from Schalke 04 on a free transfer and believe the 23-year-old is one of the hottest goalkeeping prospects. The 34-year-old could be on his way out of the club if they fail to agree on a new term.
