Chelsea offered to sign experienced PSG star on free transfer

Brazil centre-back Thiago Silva could move to Chelsea next season after being reportedly offered to boss Frank Lampard after Sunday's Champions League final. The 35-year-old will leave Paris Saint-Germain after the showpiece in Lisbon and is said to be ready to take a huge pay cut after eight years with the Lique 1 champions. Copa America champion could help Lampard solve the defensive weaknesses that saw his side ship 54 goals in the Premier League last season and lose 7-1 to Bayern Munich in the Champions League. AC Milan and Fiorentina are also keen to make Thiago a Serie A star but the veteran has a dream of playing in England, according to the Telegraph.
