Chelsea to make a huge bid for PSG star

Chelsea have reportedly turned to Paris Saint-Germain star Edinson Cavani in their hunt for a new prolific striker. According to The Express, Chelsea will push ahead with a £50m offer for Cavani. Maurizio Sarri is said to be willing to offload six or seven fringe players this month alone to help fund a deal, with the aim of remodeling his squad before the end of the year. Cavani has netted 336 goals in 547 senior appearances for Danubio, Palermo, Napoli and PSG, 126 of those coming in five-and-a-half years in Ligue 1.
