Chelsea are reportedly confident of completing a deal for Edouard Mendy today. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues submitted a new bid to Rennes this morning. The bid for the 28-year-old has been accepted by Rennes. The deal will be completed in the next days, while the goalkeeper will fly to London to have medicals soon.
Frank Lampard's side will 'consider a move for Declan Rice' after signing Edouard Mendy. West Ham's star midfielder, who is valued more than £80million, has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge. It's claimed the Hammers don't want to sell, however, according to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea could be about to test their resolve.
Jose Mourinho spoke about Chelsea's summer spending spree at his Tottenham press conference today.
