Chelsea latest news and transfer updates: Interest in Penarol youngster, Inter's double raid on the Blues and more

Frank Lampard has praised Chelsea midfielder Jorginho's professionalism. The Italy international had been a regular in the Blues team up until serving the first of a two-game suspension before English football being suspended in March because of the coronavirus pandemic. Lampard insists Jorginho has nothing to prove at Chelsea as he weighs up whether to draft in the Italian for his first start since the restart against Sheffield United. “I do not think there is a point to prove,” said Lampard. “He proves it in training and when he plays. Simply these things are selection. I just want to see the usual Jorginho. “I keep getting asked about next season. It is to me irrelevant what happens next season. These final few games will define how we sit and look at this season and look forward to next.”
Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is targeting a double raid on the Blues, according to Goal. The now Inter Milan manager wants to sign Italy left-back Emerson Palmieri, 25, and France striker Olivier Giroud, 33, from Chelsea.

Tammy Abraham has signed a one-year contract extension at Chelsea, according to PA news agency.  The England international's deal will now run until 2023, with Chelsea reportedly ready to talk further regarding a long-term extension.
Chelsea have reportedly shown “concrete interest” in Penarol youngster Facundo Pellestri. According to Calciomercato.it, the 18-year-old is wanted by Chelsea, Manchester City and Juventus. They are all set to do battle for the teenage winger, who holds a Spanish passport.
Former Chelsea and Hertha Berlin winger Salomon Kalou has signed for Brazilian club Botafogo. Kalou joined the Rio de Janeiro club after leaving Hertha earlier this month.
Tottenham have tabled an offer to Willian, who could be about to leave Chelsea on a free reports Football Insider. The Brazilian was looking for a three-year extension at Stamford Bridge but may now eye a reunion with Jose Mourinho. Source: Evening Standard, The Mirror, Football.london
