Chelsea given update on N'Golo Kante's injury by France boss Didier Deschamps

France National team boss Didier Deschamps has revealed Chelsea star N'Golo Kante was pulled out of France's squad for a 1-0 victory over Iceland as a precaution. Kante handed Frank Lampard a fresh injury worry by limping off with a groin problem in the warm-up ahead of France's EURO 2020 qualifier. The 28-year-old has only featured in four of Chelsea's eight Premier League fixtures. "He felt a pain in the adductor muscle," said the France boss after the match. "He had a feeling where he did not feel comfortable to play. I made the decision [to pull him from the squad] because maybe it could get even worse. I knew Moussa would be ready." Asked whether Kante would play against Turkey, Deschamps said: "I do not think it’s too serious for NG [Kante], but I do not have an answer tonight."
