Chelsea's French-born Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly is keen to leave Stamford Bridge, according to sources close to Football Insider.
Koulibaly, who joined the Blues last year for a reported fee of £33 million, is interested in returning to the Italian giants if he departs from Stamford Bridge in the upcoming months. His teammate, Trevoh Chalobah, is also drawing attention from Inter Milan, who have expressed their desire to sign the defender. Inter has been pursuing Chalobah throughout the season and previously inquired about his availability in January, though he ultimately remained with Chelsea.
As Chelsea's top target to replace their goalkeepers Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy is Milan's Andre Onana, there is a possibility that the Londoners will consider a swap deal involving Chalobah, Koulibaly, and Romelu Lukaku in exchange for the goalkeeper.
Both Chalobah and Koulibaly have faced challenges in securing regular starting positions under Chelsea's changing managers this season, with the former accumulating only 18 starts and the latter slightly more with 20. Inter Milan is reportedly eager to acquire Chalobah's services during the upcoming summer transfer window, while Koulibaly, who enjoyed an eight-year tenure at Napoli, has expressed his interest in returning to Italy.
