Chelsea are ready to make Rennes goalkeeper Edouard Mendy their next summer signing. Chelsea have already signed Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr. The Blues are also closing in on the signing of Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Kai Havertz. The Germany international could join Chelsea in the coming days after the Blues agreed on a deal for the 21-year-old. Chelsea will pay £72million for the attacking midfielder, with the deal potentially rising to £82m including add-ons. According to the Mirror, Chelsea have their eyes on Rennes keeper Mendy. The Blues are readying another bid for the Senegal star after having a £14m offer turned down. The 28-year-old would likely replace Arrizabalaga as Lampard's No. 1 at Stamford Bridge.
