Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel aims dig at struggling Timo Werner after Burnley win

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has aimed a chicky dig at Timo Werner and other Blues strikers following the 2-0 victory over Burnley. It was Tuchel's second game on charge and they won thanks to goals from defenders Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso. However, it was another frustrating day for Werner who, after being benched for the match against Wolves in midweek, couldn't get on the scoresheet. Following the game, Tuchel said the fact Chelsea won due to their defenders 'should be a signal to the guys up front'. "Very pleased with the performance and very important to win," he said. "It gives us confidence otherwise you have to convince players you’re on the right track. "Defensively and offensively it was very good. We controlled the match completely never lost our intensity and awareness. It should be a signal to our guys up front that two defensive guys scored. "We will work on this because we had a lot of touches in the box, a lot of deliveries. But in the end I couldn’t care less than we scored through Marcos and Azpi."
