Chelsea boss Frank Lampard tells board of next two transfers as Kai Havertz passes medical

Kai Havertz is set to become Chelsea's sixth signing of the summer. The German international passed a medical on Sunday. However, Frank Lampard does not want to stop his spending. The boss reportedly wants at least another two new arrivals. According to the Telegraph, he is desperate to sign a new goalkeeper with a second bid for Rennes star Edouard Mendy being put together. The French side rejected an opening £14m approach but they may find it hard to keep hold of the Senegal shot-stopper. Another player Lampard has told the board he needs to finish the squad overhaul is West Ham midfielder Declan Rice. The former Chelsea academy star is equally adept to playing centre-back which will help solve the west Londoners' defensive problems.
