Chelsea boss Frank Lampard responds to Billy Gilmour loan exit rumours

Frank Lampard has responded to latest transfer rumors, linking Billy Gilmour with a loan exit from Chelsea in winter. The youngster has already established himself as one of the club's key players, while he delivered a man-of-the-match display in the Blues' Champions League 1-1 draw with Krasnodar on Tuesday evening. The 19-year-old has been recently linked with a loan move to Napoli for the January transfer window. However, Lampard is eager to keep the player in the squad for the remainder of the season. "I thought Billy was outstanding," the manager said after Krasnodar draw. "The way he played today and how he trains, I see him growing with us. "He’s going to be a Chelsea player so it’s just about making sure the pathway is right for him. "He made that pathway right last season and then got injured at the wrong time but playing like he did today, he’s got a lot to offer us."
