Chelsea are preparing a move for Newcastle captain Jamaal Lascelles

According to reports, the club want to add more English players to their squad and the move is expected to be made this summer. The Blues have been admirers of Lascelles since 2016, however Newcastle are not encouraging any bids for a player. Lascelles is also a huge fan of Newcastle coach Rafael Benitez who named him captain in 2016. The former Chelsea coach sees Lascelles as key to his plans and would not want him sold under any circumstances. Anyway, there is still speculation.
