Chelsea and Liverpool expected the rejection of Dayot Upamecano in the last days, according to Christian Falk of BILD, and are now concentrating on Ibrahima Konate. Earlier, Fabrizio Romano took to Twitter and provided an update on Upamecano as he wrote: "Salihamidzic just confirmed to Bild that Dayot Upamecano has reached an agreement with Bayern Münich on personal terms: “I can confirm, we’re very happy!”

Falk also reported that Manchester United are also interested in Konate.

During this season, Konate has made overall 13 appearances for RB Leipzig and scored one goal. He has been limited of playing time due to several injuries.
