Chelsea agree transfer deal for highly-rated goalkeeper

Chelsea are not wasting time during coronavirus suspension as they are reportedly close to confirming the signing of Hartlepool's goalkeeper Brad Young.  Young is a 17-year-old, who is 6ft 4in tall and he was just called up for the England youth side earlier this season.  According to The Sun, Young has been on a provisional trial with the Blues over the last two weeks and has impressed coaches.  Hartlepool's goalkeeping coach is former Chelsea player Ross Turbull, and he spoke about how impressed he was with Young.  "At the moment, it’s all potential with Brad," Turnbull said. "Whenever anyone asks me about him I always say that if his work ethic and willingness to learn continues as it is then he will give himself the best opportunity to go and have a career as a professional footballer. "That’s got to be his goal. He’s on the right path at the moment but it’s still early days and this is just some good recognition for the work he’s been doing." Source: The Mirror
