Charles Leclerc finally broke the curse in a home race as he celebrated a win in Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday, May 26, 2024.
The Monegasque driver started from P1 and finished the race as the winner. Oscar Piastri came second, while Carlos Sainz finished 3rd.
Leclerc had tears in his eyes when crossed the finish line. The 26-year-old became the first homegrown winner of Formula One's race since Louis Chiron in 1931.
Taking to Instagram he shared a message as he thanked everyone who congratulated him.
"Look at this diiiiiiveeeeee. Thank you again to everyone for all the messages I received since yesterday. It means a lot ❤️" he wrote on Instagram.
