Leeds United or West Brom could be offered to play against Liverpool in the Community Shield, if the FA Cup winners can't take part due to European commitments, according to
The Times.
In a yearly tradition, the Premier League champions and FA Cup winners play against each other in the Community Shield. It is understood that the match will be played on August 23 which is also the date for the Champions League final.
Both Manchester United and Manchester City are still involved in the FA Cup and both could reach the Europa League and Champions League finals, respectively.
Should both of the teams be unable to feature in the Community Shield, then it has been reported that the FA could invite the winners of the Championship to take part.
