Chelsea beat Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 stage clash to extend their unbeaten run under Thomas Tuchel. Chelsea have played pretty well in the first half of the game. Marcos Alonso put in a few good crosses from the left. Callum Hudson-Odoi and Mason Mount combined well on the right without quite producing the crucial ball and the defence was looking reasonably strong. The first half ended with a goalless draw.

In the second half, Olivier Giroud has scored his sixth goal of this Champions League season with an amazing bicycle kick. Giroud has scored 15 goals in his last 16 starts for Chelsea.
