Champions League: Manchester City reach the quarter-finals after beating Borussia Monchengladbach


Manchester City didn't face any problems in the last-16 stage of the Champions League. Pep Guardiola's side earned a 2-0 victory in the first leg on the road. The Citizens beat the German outfit with the same score in the second leg. Kevin De Bruyne opened the score in the 12th minute of the game. De Bruyne has now scored 25 goals from outside of the box in all competitions for Man City.         Six minutes later, Ilkay Gundogan has scored his 15th goal of the season in all competitions for Guardiola's side and doubled the lead.         The first half ended with a 2-0 score, while there were no goals in the second half. Man City reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League and joined Premier League rivals Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, Porto, Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain.
