Champions League: Group E, F, G, H; What Liverpool, Chelsea and Inter Milan need to advance to knockout stage

The Champions League Group stage wind up this week. The clubs in the groups E, F, G and H will play their last Champions League game. Eight clubs will continue their way in the knockout stages, four of them will join the clubs in the Europa League and for four clubs Champions League will be ended. Teams that have qualified Group winners:
  • PSG (Group A)
  • Bayern Munich (Group B)
  • Manchester City (Group C)
  • Juventus (Group D)
  • Barcelona (Group F)
Group runners-up:
  • Real Madrid (Group A)
  • Tottenham (Group B)
Qualified (position TBD):
  • RB Leipzig
Here is what Liverpool, Chelsea and others need to advance to the knockout stage. Group E: Liverpool through if they draw or Napoli lose. Napoli through if they draw or Salzburg don’t win. Salzburg through if they win and Napoli don’t, or if they win by a scoreline better than 4-3. Group F: Barcelona have won the group. Inter go through if they win or finish level on points with Dortmund, due to superior head-to-head goal difference. Borussia Dortmund must pick up more points than Inter. Group G: Leipzig are through and will win the group with a draw. Zenit go through if they win and Lyon don’t, or if both games are drawn. Lyon go through if they win, or if they draw and Zenit lose. Group H: Ajax through if they draw or Chelsea don’t win. Valencia through if they win or finish level with Chelsea, due to better head-to-head. Chelsea through if they win, or if they draw and Valencia lose.
