Champions League: Chelsea reach the quarter-finals for the first time in 7 years


Chelsea beat Atletico Madrid in the second leg of their last-16 stage game to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League. In the first game, Blues ended with a 0-1 score, as they beat the La Liga side on their own ground. At Stamford Bridge, Thomas Tuchel's side impressed with their performance as they earned a 2-0 victory. The first goal of the game scored Hakim Ziyech. It was the ex-Ajax man's second goal in the current Champions League season.         In the 81st minute of the game, Atletico Madrid were left with 10 players. As Stefan Savic has been sent off for Atletico. Emerson Palmieri scored the second goal of the game in the 90+4th minute of the game. The game ended with a 2-0 score.         Tuchel's side reached the quarter-finals with a 3-0 aggregate score. In the quarter-finals, their rivals could be- Borussia Dortmund, Porto, Liverpool, PSG, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. The draw will take place on Friday, March 19.
