Champions League: Barcelona predicted line-up against Lyon

Barcelona start their journey in the Champions League knockouts with the Round of 16 first leg clash against Lyon. Ernesto Valverde has called up the following 21 players for the trip to  France:
  • Goalkeepers: 1. Marc-André ter Stegen, 30. Iñaki Peña, 31. Jokin Ezkieta
  • Defenders: 2. Nélson Semedo, 3. Gerard Piqué, 15. Clément Lenglet, 17. Jeison Murillo, 18. Jordi Alba, 23. Samuel Umtiti, 40. Moussa Wagué
  • Midfielders: 4. Ivan Rakitic, 5. Sergio Busquets, 7. Philippe Coutinho, 20. Sergi Roberto, 22. Arturo Vidal, 26. Carles Aleñá
  • Forwards: 9. Luis Suárez, 10. Lionel Messi, 11. Ousmane Dembélé, 14. Malcom, 19. Kevin-Prince Boateng
Barcelona will "suffer a lot" against Lyon unless they improve, said defender Gerard Pique. "We were not the Barca we wanted to be. The result was good, the sensations were not," Pique said. "If we don't move the ball quickly, dominate the play and possession or create chances, we are a weaker team." Barcelona arrived in France last night and trained ahead of this crunch tie. Barcelona have a number of absentees for the clash, with Thomas Vermaelen joining Arthur (hamstring), Rafinha (knee) and Jasper Cillessen (calf) on the sidelines. Samuel Umtiti could get a game but will most likely not be risked. It means Lenglet will likely play alongside Gerard Pique in the heart of defence. Sergio Busquets will have Arturo Vidal and Ivan Rakitic ahead of him in midfield. And with Suarez back in the side, Philippe Coutinho is expected to drop to the bench, with Messi and Ousmane Dembele completing the forward three.
