Celtic News: Lys Mousset, Edson Alvarez, Kieran Tierney

Celtic are exploring a deal for Bournemouth’s France Under-21s striker Lys Mousset. The Premier League club rate the 23-year-old in the £10m bracket. Celtic are reluctant to beat the club-record £9m they paid for Odsonne Edouard last year but are prepared to offer players plus cash to secure a deal. (Scottish Daily Mail, print edition)

Porto are poised to reignite their interest in Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham, but the club will have to settle for considerably less than the £14m Porto were prepared to pay for the Frenchman in January. (Scottish Sun)

Rumoured Celtic target Edson Alvarez has effectively ended any link with the Scottish champions by signing a new deal with Club America. The Mexican international was linked with the Hoops back in December by Record, with the 21-year-old attracting attention from a host of clubs. The Mexican club have tied the versatile defender down on a deal until 2022.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Jackie McNamara has claimed Celtic will wait until after the Scottish Cup final before naming their new permanent manager.

Tierney is clearly already on their radar. With Celtic currently without a manager of the recruitment chief, things are in the air at Parkhead.

Undoubtedly, it would take a lot to convince Tierney to leave his beloved Celtic. But Atletico Madrid might be one of the only teams that could convince him to make an exit.

Celtic’s Ryan Christie lifts the lid on injury nightmare. “Two-Face from Batman,” he said when asked if his injuries had brought him a new dressing room name. “You could be standing on one side and I looked completely fine but when I turned around you would hear a ‘Jesus Christ…’
