According to a report from
French outlet Foot Mercato, Celtic are one of the sides interested in signing Timothy Weah this summer despite his premature departure.
Weah joined the Hoops on loan from Paris Saint-Germain during the January transfer window. Celtic are interested in discussing another deal for Weah in the coming months-but it appears the Hoops will not have a clear run to his signature by any means.
RMC Sport reports that Stade Rennais and Crystal Palace are admirers of the 19-year-old, and Foot Mercato has added that Fortuna Dusseldorf are also in the running.
Tam McManus has told
Football Scotland that he wants Celtic to hire Steve Clarke.
He told Football Scotland: "I am on record as saying that Celtic should go for Steve Clarke as he knows the Scottish game inside-out and would be less of a gamble than a manager who has never worked here."
Celtic fans might be a bit underwhelmed if it is Clarke, given that the likes of Roberto Martinez, Rafael Benitez and even Jose Mourinho have been linked.
The Scottish Sun has reported that Rangers defender Jon Flanagan isn't out of the woods for his apparent elbow on Celtic's Scott Brown in Sunday's clash at Ibrox.
Flanagan could yet be charged if SFA compliance officer Clare Whyte deems it necessary.
Flanagan was only booked by referee Kevin Clancy for his off-the-ball incident involving the Celtic captain during Rangers' 2-0 Old Firm win this past weekend.
Clancy was criticised by Hoops boss Neil Lennon for failing to dismiss the Gers star.
Carlos Carvalhal wants to become the new manager of Celtic, according to The Scottish Sun.
It has been reported that representatives of the former Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea City boss have contacted officials at Celtic to make the pitch.
