Carlo Ancelotti reveals Europa Conference League stance for Everton

Carlo Ancelotti has claimed Everton will take Europe's new third-tier seriously if they qualify for the tournament. UEFA is going to officially introduce the Europa Conference League this summer, which will sit below the Champions League and Europa League. The team who finishes seventh in the Premier League will go into the Europa Conference League play-off round in late August with the aim of qualifying for the 32-team group stage. And the Everton boss concedes that the Europa Conference League will not hold the same importance of the Champions League or Europa League but is adamant that should the Blues qualify, then they will go all out to win it. Asked how seriously he would take the competition should Everton qualify, Ancelotti said: "Seriously. Because it is a European competition, it is a new competition. "It is not important like the Europa League or the Champions League but it is a European competition and so we will take that competition seriously and try to win." Everton are set to face Aston Villa on Thursday and a victory would send them sixth in the table, with three games to go. Source- Liverpool ECHO Join us on Telegram!/ Follow us on Twitter!
