Carlo Ancelotti gives verdict on Everton win and speaks on Djibril Sidibe delay

Carlo Ancelotti has given his verdict on Everton's 3-1 win over Crystal Palace with stating: "I prefer to win than to have a good performance and lose." Bernard (18') opened the score in Saturday's game already in the first half, but Christian Benteke (51') of Crystal Palace equalised the score in the beginning of the second half. However, Richarlison (58') and Dominic Calvert-Lewin (88') of the Toffees netted for their side- securing Everton's victory at the Goodison Park. Speaking after the game, Ancelotti said: "The result is really important for us after a performance that was not so good for 60 minutes. "After that Richarlison is able to do a fantastic counter attack that is the key point of the game.  "After that we have good control and score a good goal. We arrive at the end well but the first 60 minutes we had problems. Crystal Palace played well. We changed a little bit system and put Richarlison on the left but the key point was the counter attack. We played better against Newcastle. "I prefer to win than to have a good performance and lose. It is normal. In this moment we believe in what we are doing and that is the most important part."  The Toffees boss also explained why Djibril Sidibe was delayed coming onto the field, as he was replacing Theo Walcott. "He forgot the socks," Ancelotti said. "A new experience for me. Also for him, I think." After the win, the Toffees are the 7th at the Premier League with 36 points in total. Source- Liverpool Echo
