Carlo Ancelotti on what Everton need to do to beat Liverpool

Carlo Ancelotti's side are going to face Liverpool in the FA Cup clash on Sunday, January 5th. Speaking ahead of the game, Ancelotti outlined what Everton must do in order to beat Jurgen Klopp's side. “Every derby is really important for the supporters, it is a special game. I played games when I was in Rome and as a player and a manager with Milan and I know how different this game is," said Ancelotti. "Liverpool are the favourites but in the derby you never know what will happen. We need confidence to try and be at our best and try and play our football if possible. “We will try and progress in this competition, everybody knows how important it is.”  “The last time I played this competition I won so hopefully it can be a good luck for us," later Everton boss added. “The FA Cup is really different than the other competitions, the Italian Cup is completely different. “The fact that here it's the oldest competition in England, in the world, gives a really special atmosphere. “There are a lot of surprises in this competition. For us it's a really exciting game, a really exciting moment. We have confidence to do our best. “It's an important competition of course. The last trophy that Everton won was the FA Cup.
