Canelo Alvarez, Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder all received Ring Magazine awards. Alvarez was crowned as a “Fighter of the Year” by the magazine, while his trainer Eddy Reynoso earned “Trainer of the Year”. Joshua received the “Round of the Year” award for round three of his first bout with Andy Ruiz. Their rematch, meanwhile, was given “Event of the Year”.
