It appears only Typhoon Kong Rey can stop Lewis Hamilton at the Japanese Grand Prix after the championship leader dominated Friday practice at Suzuka.
Hamilton was almost half a second clear of the field in both sessions, with title rival Sebastian Vettel unable to get anywhere near the Mercedes.

Hamilton's fastest lap in 1m28.217s provided him with a 0.461s margin over Valtteri Bottas, while Sebastian Vettel, Max Verstappen and Kimi Raikkonen rounded off the top five.
Mercedes got a reminder anyway in the first practice session for the Japanese Grand Prix as a slow-moving forced the championship leader to take evasive action, narrowly missing a high-speed collision with the Toro Rosso. Gasly was reprimanded over the incident.
