Calvert-Lewin backed up by teammate for England call-up

Everton right back Seamus Coleman believes Dominic Calvert-Lewin deserves to be included in England national team’s squad for the upcoming friendly matches.  As Harry Kane and Marcus Rashford are injured, Three Lions head coach Gareth Southgate will look for alternatives for the international friendlies against Denmark and Italy.  Coleman believes Calvert-Lewin, who has scored 12 goals in 28 matches this season, "has put himself right in the mix” alongside other strikers.  “It’s good to see him finally getting some recognition.” Everton defender told James Savundra from talkSPORT. “There’s a lot of names being thrown around in terms of England with all the injuries [to strikers]. But I think Dominic has put himself right in the mix as well. “He’s always been a great target man who gives defenders nightmare for 90 minutes. “The way he’s played this season, the goals he’s scored and his work rate are top drawer.” Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti’s side is preparing for their next Premier League match against Crystal Palace.
