Schalke are waiting for Liverpool to make a move for their defender Ozan Kabak, according to CalcioMercato.
The 20-year-old has been heavily linked with the Premier League champions, though no concrete bid has been submitted for him yet.
Now Reds are not the only team interested in Kabak, with AC Milan also keeping their eye on the centre-back.
However, the report claims Schalke are waiting to see what Jurgen Klopp’s side do before making a decision. The Bundesliga club have reduced the price tag to just €20 million (£18 million) due to the financial crisis they currently face.
AC Milan legend Paolo Maldini has shared his praise on Kabak, claiming the youngster is very good at one-on-one situations. He could be a good addition to Liverpool’s squad amid the long-term injuries of Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk.
