Declan Rice has revealed how he would react if Tottenham's Harry Kane insisted on him taking a 90th-minute penalty in the final at Euro 2020.
Speaking on
the Lions’ Den, West Ham star has insisted that he would have "full belief" in himself, however, still, letting his England teammate to take the penalty.
"If you won a penalty in the 90th minute of the final, Kane gives you the nod do you take it or give it to Kane?" Rice was asked to which he responded:
“You are going to have to give it to Harry Kane, aren’t you. He’s giving you the nod.
“But he’s taken more penalties. He has done it in World Cups. He has done it in big situations before.
“I have only ever taken two. If he was insisting (I take the penalty) then I would because I have full belief in myself.
“But if Kane is on the pitch then best number nine, for me. You have got to give it to him to win it and take all the glory.”
