Bundesliga is back: Some very interesting results from the opening fixtures

Bundesliga has returned on May 16, and five clashes already took place. The matches took place behind closed doors, so there were no fans. Borussia Dortmund picked up a 4-0 win over Schalke. Lucien Favre’s side opened the score already in the first-half, as Erling Haaland scored in the 29th minute and Raphael Guerreiro doubled Borussia’s success in the last minute of the first half. In the second half thanks to goals of Guerreiro and Thorgan Hazard Borussia recorded their 4-0 win. The second clash of Saturday took place at the Red Bull Arena, where RB Leipzig drew 1-1 with SC Freiburg. Manuel Gulde of the Freiburg opened the score in the end of the first half, however, Leipzig's Yussuf Poulsen equalised the score in the 77th minute. Renato Steffen of Wolfsburg opened the score in the last minues of the first half, however Augsburg's Tin Jedvaj scored the equaliser already in the beginning of the second half. Daniel Ginczek scored the last goal of the clash in the last minute, handing Wolfsburg the win of the first game after the suspension. In the fourth clash of the day Fortuna Dusseldorf played a goalless draw with SC Paderborn 07 at the ESPRIT arena. At the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena, Hertha Berlin beat Hoffenheim with 3-0. After the goalless first half, Hoffenheim's Kevin Akpoguma opened the score with owngoal, and just two minutes later Vedad Ibisevic of Hertha Berlin doubled their side's success. The last goal of the match was from Matheus Cunha, who handed Hertha Berlin a 3-0 win in the first match after the lockdown.
