Bryony Frost claims VBET Day treble

Bryony Frost secured a treble on VBET Day at Kempton – highlighted by an ultra-impressive performance from Fidelio Vallis in the feature race. The John Hales-owned six-year-old had won his last two races, but his followers must have had their concerns after he broke loose at the start. Those fears soon dissipated in the valuable Join VBET Handicap Chase as Frost’s companion soon got into a beautiful rhythm. Fidelio Vallis could have been called the winner a long way out and powered on gamely to score by nine and a half lengths. Frost said of the 13/8 favourite: “I’ve never gone so fast in my life! “It doesn’t matter how flat-out he goes, he just never stops – brilliant. “He knows his game now and fences have really brought his ability to life. He’s going to be super-fun now and is just lightning-quick.” Frost and trainer Paul Nicholls teamed up for a double as 10/11 favourite Paso Doble made all the running in the VBET Novices' Hurdle. Nicholls said: “He’s got a lot of ability. “He’ll have a nice summer at grass now. He’ll definitely get two and a half (miles) as he’s not slow.” Frost put the seal on a great afternoon when she got a real tune out of Lucy Wadham’s Sorbet in the VBET Best Odds Guaranteed Mares' Handicap Hurdle. Seven Barrows trainer Nicky Henderson also enjoyed a good VBET Day with wins for Adjali and Will Carver. The former impressively landed the VBET For Value Beginners’ Chase under Daryl Jacob, who told Racing UK: “He likes this sort of ground and Nicky’s a master at bringing these horses back. “He’s always been a nice jumper, even over hurdles – he’s just a nice, laidback type of a horse.” Will Carver was in similarly determined mood en route towards a 12-length victory in the VBET Supports British Racing Maiden Hurdle. Jockey Nico de Boinville said of the 10/11 favourite: “That was a great performance from Will Carver and I think his career is really going to lie over fences.” De Boinville’s day was, however, far from straightforward after Versatile stumbled upon landing the last in the Get Great Odds At VBET Handicap Chase. The 5/1 shot then unseated his rider, which left Psychedelic Rock home and hosed for a fortuitous victory. Faint Hope (9/4 favourite) later won the Gamble Responsibly With VBET Handicap Hurdle by a neck after a thrilling battle with Montys Medoc.
