Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has revealed that he passed up the opportunity to score his first hat-trick for the Red Devils to gift Edinson Cavani his first goal for the club.
Fernandes shined for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side in the 3-1 win over Everton as he had a hand in all three of United's goals scoring two and providing one assist.
"If Marcus touched it a little bit, it can be his goal," he told BT Sport . "It doesn't matter to me. The most important thing as a No.10 for me is serving my teammates as I did in the end with Edi [Cavani]. I had the chance to shoot and maybe look for the hat-trick but I saw Edi alone and he had the chance. If Marcus takes the second goal, it's not a problem."
