Bruno Fernandes has played essential role in Jadon Sancho transfer situation

Manchester United might need to sell players should they want to fund a move for Jadon Sancho this summer - which is largely down to Bruno Fernandes’ arrival in January. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are desperate to bring Sancho to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window, however, Borussia Dortmund have slapped a £100million price tag on their star man. Currently, club finances are depleted amid the Covid-19 crisis and they are struggling to meet Dortmund’s valuation and will therefore have to show players the door to raise funds. But Fernandes’ £67million switch from Sporting Lisbon also explains why they can’t afford to sign Sancho right now. The Portugal midfielder joined United for an initial £47million in January, with an estimated £20million to come in add-ons. After scoring 8 goals and providing 7 assist in 14 Premier League outings, he has been worth every penny. However, Red Devils' head coach confirmed back in February that his arrival has eaten into the club’s summer transfer budget. “Of course it is,” Solskjaer said when asked if that was the case. “Of course signings and expenditure will affect your budget.” Source- Daily Star
