Brendan Rodgers 'understands' why James Maddison would want to leave Leicester City for Arsenal

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers says he 'understands' the reason why James Maddison would want to move to Arsenal this summer. Mikel Arteta has been willing to sign the England international since the transfer window has been opened. However, the Foxes have no interest in letting him go and their boss claims 'the player is very happy at the King Power Stadium'. Speaking to Sky Sports, Rodgers has expressed his thoughts.
"I think at this moment in time, Leicester City is a very attractive place to be,"   "But having been at so-called big clubs, I also understand what the draw of them can be for a player. For us, it’s just about developing this football club,"  the Leicester boss told.   He also added, "At this moment in time, all the players seem very happy to be here,’ continued Rodgers."
With the last sentence, the 48-year-old insists that no player, including the attacking midfielder, is interested in leaving the club. On Saturday, Rodgers' team will face Wolves at home, opening the 2021/22 Premier League season.   Source - metro Join us on Telegram!/ Follow us on Twitter!
